  • Pat,

Tomorrow mornings PCRG session will involve our monthly 3k Time Trial. Any assistance non participating PCRG members can offer re marshalling duties will be greatly appreciated. You could possibly pace a fellow PCRG member if you are still in post Gold Coast recovery mode.

The cheque presentation to the Collins family will take place when we return to the Ship Inn. The support received from PCRG members/family/friends and work colleagues has been amazing. The final figure will be announced tomorrow morning however at last count we were around the $38,000 mark. Yes, I know, absolutely fantastic! My sincere thanks go to everyone who got behind our Dig deep for Ollie campaign.

Congratulations Glenda Banaghan - 1st place Townsville Half Marathon (82min) Congratulations Peter Hallahan - 2nd place 50+ Townsville Half Marathon (83min)

It appears that the cold snap is well and truly over and tomorrow mornings 3k will be an opportunity for you to see where you are placed fitness wise OR pace a fellow PCRG member.

Catch you in the morning for another perfect PCRG start to your day.

P.S. PCRG will not take place this Friday (Aug 8). I have an 8am flight to Sydney - I am involved with the City to Surf. Hopefully Friday regulars will be able to attend Thursday's PCRG session.

Your next run is only as good as your last recovery!

If you fail to follow a sensible diet your body will not gain full benefit from all of those enjoyable and challenging runs and you won't recover as well as you possibly could.
