  • Pat,

I'm the race ambassador for the McDonalds Townsville Running Festival which takes place this weekend. I leave for Townsville on Thursday; therefore PCRG will not take place this Friday (August 1). Hopefully Friday regulars will be able to attend this Thursday instead.

PCRG/Gold Coast 2008 photos can be viewed here. By all means contact me via email if you would like a full res copy of any of the photos.

Bec Pratten (PCRG member) ran (no pun intended) into difficulty when she recently gave birth. It was touch and go for a while and thankfully Bec is ok and will be returning to PCRG in a month or two.

Bec pulled through after receiving a blood transfusion involving 20 litres. We carry around 5 litres of blood so 20 litres indicates the situation Bec was in.

Anyway, like I said, Bec and her daughter are doing fine and Bec wishes to remind you how important blood donation is. Here is a brief message from Bec.

Cocktail Party slide shows: Karen Masnata has kindly offered to burn copies of the great slide show she put together. Please touch base with me or Karen @ PCRG and I'm also willing to burn copies of the slide show I presented.

Catch you in the morning because your post Gold Coast "down time" is just about over.

    Cheers

    Pat
