Pat, The Brisbane Marathon running festival was a fantastic event to be involved in and full credit goes to Margot and Steve Manning for providing us with an opportunity to enjoy Brisbane City and achieve personal goals at the same time. There were so many great performances by PCRG members and I enjoyed witnessing you all offering encouragement before/during and after each event. Tarek ran his "first race" yesterday and mentioned the following in a post race email: What an amazing crowd and an incredible high (and to think there will be 10 times that many people at the Coast I can't even imagine!!). Not once did I pass a PCRG member without hearing a motivating word, smile, nod - it's so heartwarming it just leaves me speechless. I made sure I had my camera with me yesterday – it would have helped greatly if I included the battery though. So…no photos from me unfortunately however Phil Wain took these photos out on the course and Mike Robinson will provide me with more photos shortly. I previously provided the incorrect date for the start/opening ceremony for the World Harmony Run. Yeah I know, that sounds corny but in reality it's true. Achieving goals in running (the sport we have chosen) enables us to feel a great sense of achievement.
