Pat, Our monthly 3k Time Trial will take place tomorrow morning and I would greatly appreciate any assistance non participating members can offer with marshalling duties. Please be aware that we share the bike paths with pedestrians and cyclist and please keep to the very side of the road at all times. Please also take extra care once you enter Riverside Drive and pass the construction area. PCRG has been in operation for over 4 years and there has never been an altercation with a cyclist or pedestrian throughout this period. If we continue to respect the cyclist and pedestrians we will continue to be known as a courteous group of runners. PCRG safety rules can be viewed here. I was listening to a Nick Cave interview yesterday and Nick talked about how he has been involved in every possible situation on stage and as a result he has the skills to deal with everything that may happen. To my surprise he stated that he still gets extremely anxious prior to going on stage, however he did follow this up with saying that once he does go on stage his raised level of anxiety 'is dispelled'. Running is no different! You often feel anxious in the lead-up and then when the starters pistol is fired you feel like a huge weight of worry has been taken away. Whenever I felt myself feeling anxious leading into an event I would tap into the feeling that the very start of the race brings. As a result I would feel a sense of calm. If you are slightly worked up about tomorrow's 3k visualise the very start and there is a strong chance your raised level of anxiety will 'be dispelled'. Photos from last Thursdays PCRG session can be viewed here. Photos from last Fridays PCRG session can be viewed here. Catch you in the morning for an amazing PCRG start to your day. Cheers Pat P.S. I purchased a new car yesterday from IKEA.
PCRG Apparel also available for purchase @ PCRG.

The Canberra Marathon is a first class event and there is sufficient time to back up for Gold Coast. The course is fast and the weather is ideal.
2008 will be the 30th anniversary! The course is fast and you will enjoy picture perfect scenery. There will be a PCRG team and I hope you will be able to take part.
If you fail to follow a sensible diet your body will not gain full benefit from all of those enjoyable and challenging runs and you won't recover as well as you possibly could. Kerith Duncanson is an accredited dietician as well as a former International class runner. An online dietary assessment by Kerith may assist you to achieve your goal.
