Pat, A 500k relay was held in south east Queensland last weekend with funds raised going to the Endeavour Foundation. PCRG member Glenda Banaghan ran in a team and advised me that $100,000 was raised by all of the teams involved. What a huge effort and congratulations to everyone who was involved.
I advised on Monday that over $7000 worth of prizes
are to be won in the Adidas Sunglasses PCRG Summer Series
. I collected 32 pairs of Adidas Sunglasses on Tuesday with a rrp of $265 each. This means there will be $8,500 worth of Adidas Sunglasses to be won by all PCRG members who pay for multiple sessions in advance. All you will need to do is place your name in the barrel (box) at each PCRG session between Dec 5 and Feb 16. On behalf of PCRG I sincerely thanked Brent from Adidas Sunglasses for his tremendous support. All of the sponsors listed below have also been extremely supportive. I am not totally sure why attendance @ PCRG sessions is currently resembling 70+ on Tuesdays, 40+ on Thursdays and close to 20 runners on Fridays. Maybe the working week plays havoc with motivation levels! Just tap into that alive feeling you had when you were enjoying a casual run back to The Ship Inn on Tuesday morning. The Adidas Sunglasses PCRG Summer Series commences on Tuesday Dec 5 and concludes on Friday February 16.
The 2007 Brisbane Running Groups 3k challenge will be held @ 6pm on Friday February 16. All running groups will meet at The Ship Inn (South Bank) and the 3k challenge will take place in the Botanical Gardens. Presentations and drinks etc will be held @ The Ship Inn.
