Pat, 45 runners will be representing PCRG in the coolnight classic. You will find confirmation that I have submitted your entry here. The Adidas Sunglasses PCRG Summer Series will aid greatly with your motivation mojo throughout December/January and February. There are still sponsorship opportunities available. Details here. Due to the fact we are starting to have more light in the morning group sessions will start @ 5.40am sharp with the second group leaving a few minutes later. Possibly you could aim to arrive at The Ship Inn @ 5.30am so that you get to enjoy a brief pre warm up chat. To aid group members who arrive late I will leave a note on a sign @ The Ship Inn advising where the core of the session will start from. You can view the full range of PCRG summer apparel here. John Daniels is a Psychology student (studying for honours degree) at Bond University and is hopeful that you will be kind enough to complete an online survey which will take up no more than 10min of your time. A brief intro from John: It's a research questionnaire which seeks to identify the considerable benefits to one's mood states while participating in a specific physical exercise like running. It is likely to show, like a number of recent studies in America and elsewhere, that the benefits of running (and perhaps physical activities more generally) lead to better mental health outcomes for the participant. I am particularly keen to isolate the attitudes of runners as a target population in this study. Responses from runners will help identify not the physical but the mental benefits from this activity. One of the best Triathlons in the World takes place
on our door step. If you are not involved in the full Tri you could run the 10k leg in the team’s event. You can advertise on the Noosa Triathlon site that you are looking for a cyclist and swimmer to make up a team. You will also find swimmers and/or cyclists searching for a runner.
