Pat, Steve Farne Sang has taken the time to provide some feedback about our group sessions. This is what Steve had to say. “It was great to see PCRG out in full force at the Brisbane Marathon/Half Marathon and 10k. We did strike an unseasonably warm day however that did not stand in the way of some great performances.” Congratulations go to INTRAINING and MIZUNO for staging a successful event. You will find PCRG photos below. Our next seminar will be the motivational seminar at 6.30pm @ The Ship Inn on Friday May 26. Seminar is FOC (optional gold coin donation for Camp Quality). Gerard Gosens has been blind since birth however he has never let this interfere with his ambitions to succeed. Gerard is a well sort after motivational speaker and he will be kindly donating his time to leave you inspired during the closing (and crucial) stages of your Gold Coast campaign. You can discover more about Gerard here. Prior to Gerard’s talk a challenge will take place. 2 beauticians will be waxing my legs and Gerard will be running 5km on a treadmill. The first to finish will be deemed the winner. Mark Kenney will be mcíng the challenge and talking you through each stride and each peel (ouch!). I am responsible for encouraging you all to dig deep during training and this often comes with a certain amount of discomfort. This will be your opportunity to see me go through some pain – ‘pay back time’ you may say. (& I must add that Pat is THE WORST ever when it comes to handling grooming procedures!! – susan). There will be drinks on the upper level deck from 6.30pm along with some light entertainment and snacks. This is not an exclusive PCRG seminar, everyone is welcome. Can you please RSVP by return emial if you will be attending. Our monthly 3k Time Trial will take place NEXT Tuesday (May 09). Tomorrow morning:
Catch you ALL in the morning. Pat
There is never a morning when I don’t get encouraged by the smiling faces and feeling of comradeship when we start the Tuesday and Thursday sessions.
I will post your Gold Coast 2006 Goal on my site as well as on a board which will be displayed at the group sessions. I encourage you to accept the challenge. Please get out your diaries, your PATHWAY to success will involve these important dates.
I thoroughly enjoy taking the Sub 3hr group at the Gold Coast Airport Marathon each year.
Pacing runners and helping them achieve their goal is
a rewarding experience.
The 3hr journey and above moment at the finish line is what will motivate me to increase my running volume over the next 10 weeks.
