Pat, Susan had a fantastic camera day on Tuesday (thanks Susan). If your boss and work colleagues are not looking over your shoulder you may enjoy checking out Tuesdays photos. If you are the boss, take your time. Keith Sullivan (PCRG member) is currently preparing for the Marathon Des Sables (March 27 - April 7) along with another PCRG member - Joshua Kennedy. You may have seen Keith and Josh running with back packs. They are doing this because the Marathon is held over 7 days in the Sahara Desert - 230km. Keith and Josh will be carrying everything that they need to survive in their back packs apart from water and a tent. Keith is inviting you to sponsor him with all money raised going to youngcare. You can sponsor Keith via this secure online console here. The Brisbane Running Group's 3k challenge is a concept that I initiated a few years back. Friday night is more about celebrating the fact that we all belong to a running group rather than it being all about competition. The official charity for the night will be the Leukemia Foundation. Helen Key (PCRG member) will be having her head shaved at a PCRG session in March (shave for a cure) (I seem to have this thing about brackets today - sorry) and all money raised on Friday night will go towards Helens fund raising. Friday night - please be at the entrance to the gardens prior to 6pm. The 3k challenge will begin @ 6pm. You can leave your gear @ The Plough Inn (where the South Bank markets are held) from 5.30pm and then enjoy a nice slow jog over to the gardens. We will be going back to The Plough Inn after the events for refreshments/presentations and charity auction. Catch you in the morning and/or on Friday. PCRG will be taking place Friday morning. Cheers Pat ( )
I hope you will be joining us. 3k Challenge categories are:
Everyone's performance will count!
PCRG Apparel also available for purchase @ PCRG.
Make sure you visit intraining @ Park Rd Milton for all your running needs. Thank you intraining for being a PCRG sponsor.
Thank you pb sports nutriton for your ongoing support in providing product which is used at the group sessions.
The Canberra Marathon is a first class event and there is sufficient time to back up for Gold Coast. The course is fast and the weather is ideal.
2008 will be the 30th anniversary! The course is fast and you will enjoy picture perfect scenery. There will be a PCRG team and I hope you will be able to take part.
If you fail to follow a sensible diet your body will not gain full benefit from all of those enjoyable and challenging runs and you won't recover as well as you possibly could. Kerith Duncanson is an accredited dietician as well as a former International class runner. An online dietary assessment by Kerith may assist you to achieve your goal. Kerith offers 20% off her advertised fees to any runners involved with me through online coaching or any runner who is a regular member of PCRG.
