  • Pat,

Thank you Gary, Lou, Katie, Keith and Mike for ensuring Tuesdays PCRG 3K Time Trial was conducted safely. We should never become complacent about our responsibility to ensue we do not hinder the ability of other people to safely use the same pathways that we enjoy.

Congratulations Margaret Williams/Mike Robinson and Damien Fall for being the joint winners of this months PCRG group member of the month award.

3K Time Trial report/photos and results can be viewed here.

Chocolates/flowers and even a candlelight dinner are just a few of the ways we can romance our partners. Garry Carroll is a busy man and recently attended PCRG after cleaning the South Bank cinemas following a 3am start. Garry's business is going so well that he doesn't have time to buy Carmel flowers/chocolates or even take her to dinner so with this in mind he has put in some solid ground work in his group profile.

I hope you enjoy getting to know Garry Carroll (no relation) just a little bit more.

Tomorrow mornings PCRG session will consist of a light 50min run, finishing off with our NO WATCH 1K.

Fridays PCRG session will involve 2min/1min/30sec efforts in the Botanical Gardens.

I paddled my kayak this morning from Norman Park to the Goodwill Bridge and back and it was encouraging to see so many people actively enjoying our paths. We live in a great city!

Catch you in the morning and/or on Friday for another perfect PCRG start to your day.

    Cheers

    Pat

    Garry Carroll ''uncut''

I am the owner of All Aces Services which is a home cleaning and restoration services business. I live in Camp hill, have lived in Brisbane since 2001 and joined the PCRG in 2006.

My favourite restaurant is Roper's Royal Pines Gold coast.

My earliest childhood memory is riding my plastic 3 wheeler trike down a hill so fast the tyres where smoking and melted.

    My favourite movie is Transformers.

Brisbane City is a great place because it is safer than other cities.

My regular holiday destination is the Gold Coast.

If money was no option I would own as many cars as I want.

It frustrates me when Pat can run faster with a kiddie's pram.

I have been involved in running since 2006 and my most memorable running experience is in grade 4 I ran so far in a runathon that I had to crawl to the toilet the next morning because I couldn't walk.

I enjoy distance running because I am competitive and it pushes my boundaries.

My favourite run is the Bridge to Brisbane, a great atmosphere!

Motivation is something that PCRG is good at.

Injuries are crap and I once dislocated my knee 5 times.

2006 was a turning point in my life because I met my future wife Carmel.

PCRG is great and everyone is so friendly.

I prefer running in groups because it motivates you.

Running is very difficult in the winter time because I get asthma.

The best advice Pat Carroll gave me was with a last name like Carroll you'll have no problem getting women.

People who are dedicated inspire me to go further.

I will never regret getting married to Carmel, she is the perfect woman.
