  • Pat,

Not only is Led Zeppelin getting back together but PCRG member profiles and PCRG photos are also back by popular demand.

You can view photos from Tuesdays PCRG session here.

If you attended Tuesdays PCRG session I hope that you left feeling far more energised then when you arrived. It's well promoted and known that we need balance in our lives. PCRG can contribute greatly to your overall being via the challenging sessions and friendly and supportive group environment. I get a great thrill from knowing that PCRG is contributing towards maintaining a balance is so many lives.

Alison Catto often sends me an email commenting on how much she enjoyed her recent PCRG session. By reading Alison's profile you will discover that she has moved away from her family in order to study and pursue her career. No doubt PCRG has provided Alison with a supportive network of friends and a great group of people to run with. I hope you enjoy getting to know Alison Catto just that little bit more.

Please contact me if you would like to submit your group profile.

Jean Hampson has been competing at the World Masters Athletic Championships in Italy and so far has picked up a Bronze in the cross country and qualified for the 800m final. Good on you Jean!

Catch you in the morning and/or on Friday for (yep - you guessed it) a prefect PCRG start to your day!

    Cheers

    Pat

P.S. There was a recent series on the ABC called 'We can be Heroes'. The lead character was Chris Lilley and he is back with 'Summer Heights High'. Check out this You Tube video showing a clip from Chris's new show.

    Introducing Alison Cato

I work as a Consultant in transfer pricing part time and am in my final year of Law/Economics degree at uni. I live in Kangaroo Point, have lived in Brisbane since January 2005 and joined PCRG in January 2007.

My favourite restaurant is Dine in India for takeaway and the Fourth Floor at the Sunny Coast.

My earliest childhood memory is playing soccer with my brothers friends and being coat hangered by a swing set because I was trying to score a goal. Still play soccer occasionally as an adult but try not to do it in the dark.

My favourite movie is a tie between Wedding Crashers and Old School.

Brisbane City is fantastic because you can run for about 40k and not have to cross a road.

My regular holiday destination is home to visit my parents in Mackay.

If money was no option I would travel to every country in the world and also give as much as needed to those living below the poverty line.

It frustrates me when people have excuses for everything.

I have been involved in running since about 2004 apart from some cross country in primary school and my most memorable running experience is finishing the Gold Coast Marathon this year feeling really good with my mum and other family watching.

I enjoy distance running because it allows me an out from the rest of my busy life. Plus I can eat chocolate everyday and not even feel the slightest bit of guilt.

My favourite run is around the Kangaroo Point Cliffs and out to New Farm. The river loop on a weekend is also great.

Motivation is something that I believe I have. Motivation is saying you will do something and making the right decisions to get that outcome.

Injuries are something that plagues all distance runners. I am not good at dealing with injuries, something about the no running I haven't quite got yet.

In 2003 I had a major operation which went very wrong, and this was a turning point in my life because I started to get a lot healthier and lost 12kilos.

PCRG is a great support network. If you are new to running people are so welcoming and are always excited by your achievements.

I prefer running in the morning because it is a great start to the day.

Running is sometimes difficult when you have been out the night before.

The best advice my mum gave me is to believe in your own ability.

    Setting goals inspires me.

I will not regret anything because you can only learn from the mistakes you make.
