Susan asked me not to share this, but what the heck I thought. Here is a photo of me in the bath.
We are into the final week and Sunday is sure to be a
great day for everyone involved. I have secured a tent
in the Corporate area and all PCRG members are
welcome to use the tent as somewhere to leave
belongings, as well as a meeting point and a place to
celebrate post race.
Attend 20 or more PCRG sessions during the Hunt Lawyers/PCRG Gold Coast 2007 Campaign and you will go in the draw to win a fabulous Merida Road bike OR a Mountain bike thanks to River City Cycles. You will also increase your chances by spending $50 or more at River City Cycles - 483 Fairfield Rd Yeronga, PH: 3892 4955.
I have tallied PCRG attendance to date and currently there are only 34 PCRG members who qualify. There are still 3 PCRG sessions remaining though. You can find out if you will be in the running to win one of the bikes here. Thank you River City Cycles for being a PCRG sponsor.
Andy Steele invites you to make a special effort this week to secure sponsorship for this Sunday:
"As we taper our training and start to countdown the number of sleeps till the big day, it's a great opportunity to stop and think of those less fortunate than ourselves. Please "Dig Deep" for the Childhood Cancer Support and really work those sponsorship forms over the next 10 days. Please take a few minutes to re-read Sue's story and I know you'll be moved to get your friends, work colleagues and relatives to get behind us and this great cause. Thanks, Andy"
Have you submitted your Gold Coast goal? You can submit and view PCRG Gold Coast goals here.
Tomorrow mornings PCRG session will consist of 3- 4k @ the pace you intend to run on Sunday. The session is not meant to be a taxing effort and will serve as an opportunity for you to rehearse your race pace and to also visualise achieving your Gold Coast goal.
Catch you in the morning for a perfect PCRG start to your day.
Thank you Hunt Lawyers for being a PCRG sponsor.
Yours truly (and an assistant) will perform a live call (video will be shown) of the last 15min of Kerryn's magnificent Melbourne Commonwealth Games win.
Following this I will conduct a casual live chat (interview) with Kerryn. You will leave feeling pumped and ready to tackle Gold Coast!
There will also be a charity auction with ALL proceeds going to Childhood Cancer Support. Please contact me if you (or your company) can graciously donate an auction item.
This is not an exclusive PCRG dinner. All members of the general public are welcome.
You trained well, braved the chilly winter mornings and applied yourself in either the 10k, Half Marathon or Marathon at the Gold Coast. Now for the celebration!
The PCRG Annual Dinner will be the ultimate way to put a close to your 2007 Gold Coast campaign and celebrate with fellow group members.
Maybe your spouse/partner/friend supported you throughout this period and it is hoped that she/he will be joining in this celebration.
