Gold Coast dinner (three course) @ The Ship Inn -
7pm - June 26 are available for purchase - $40. The
dinner is to be held on the Tuesday night before Gold
Coast and proceedings will be wrapped up before
10pm. The last thing you need is a late night leading
into your big event! Dress is casual. (You should see
the dress I will be wearing!)
Kerryn McCann will be our special guest and I will be making a live call of the last 15min of her Melbourne Commonwealth Games Marathon win which will be shown on the big screen. Cheering Kerryn as she crosses the line and then listening to her talk about her magnificent achievement will surely leave you pumped and ready to tackle your event at the Coast. For catering purposes I would like to finalise ticket sales ASAP. The Ship Inn has a maximum seating capacity of 108 guests. If you leave your ticket purchase to the final week there is a strong chance you will miss out. You can purchase your ticket online here or from Susan @ PCRG. If purchasing online PLEASE note your name as the reference and email me to advise you have made the transfer.
There will also be a charity auction with ALL proceeds
going to
Childhood Cancer Support. I would therefore
greatly appreciate any assistance you/ your friends or
your employer may be able to offer in the way of
donating an auction item. All guests on the night will
receive an auction inventory which will note the auction
items and who donated each item (can remain
anonymous if you wish).
In 2006 PCRG raised $5,500 for the Qld Cancer Fund via our Did Deep for Elaine campaign. To date we have raised close on $2,500 for Childhood Cancer Support through our Dig Deep for the Kids campaign and with your support we can more than triple this amount. You can also raise money for Childhood Cancer Support via being sponsored to run in your event at the Coast. You can download a sponsorship form here or alternatively please see Susan @ PCRG. When deciding your options at 4.40am ask yourself one question: 'Will I take the tough option OR the soft option.' 3 weeks and 4 days to go!!!!!!! Cheers Pat TIP: We are enjoying some well welcomed rain at present however it can make running outdoors less inviting. Often all you need is a light water proof jacket and a cap to keep you warm and dry. It may be of benefit to have both available at all times to ensure you don't skip that vital training session.

You trained well, braved the chilly winter mornings and applied yourself in either the 10k, Half Marathon or Marathon at the Gold Coast. Now for the celebration! The PCRG Annual Dinner will be the ultimate way to put a close to your 2007 Gold Coast campaign and celebrate with fellow group members. Maybe your spouse/partner/friend supported you throughout this period and it is hoped that she/he will be joining in this celebration.
