Pat,
Christmas: Kids/Family/Fun and maybe the odd
present. This morning’s PCRG Christmas Run definitely
had a true Christmas flavour and I hope you enjoy
glancing through the photos.
The majority of us put a great deal of energy into
running and the personal reward when a goal is
achieved can leave you floating in a sea of euphoria.
I was in Geelong last Saturday mcíng Lee Troops
track meet. I had an absolute ball working the crowd
and making sure they cheered Steve Moneghetti all
the way to his Over 40 1HR World Record.
After all of the miles Steve has run and after all of
the records he has set one could be excused for
thinking that Steve’s ability to be thrilled with a run
would be spent. The exact opposite took place for
Steve was dancing around uncontrollably with a smile
from ear to ear.
As Steve jumped up onto a table punching the air
with the best part of 1000 people surrounding him it
was evident that our ‘Rock Star’ had achieved his
goal. If only you could bottle the way Steve felt!
I hope that you achieve in 2006.
Merry Christmas
Pat Carroll
