  • Pat,

(Australia's) FIVE-time Empire State Building stairs race champion- turned professional cyclist Paul Crake is determined to prove his surgeon wrong by walking again after a freak accident left his legs paralysed.

What happened to Paul is something I have often feared happening to myself. No doubt Paul has been doing a great deal of soul searching and my thoughts are with him.

You can read Pauls first interview since his accident here and I invite you to join with me in contributing to the ‘Support Paul Crake appeal’.

Stepping out the door for a run is often not enough incentive by itself. Knowing that you are preparing for an event which is less than 13 weeks away all of a sudden provides extra reason to take advantage of the opportunity.

The Canberra Marathon on the 15th of April (less than 13 weeks away) is the first major event on the Australian distance running calendar and this is why I endorse the Canberra Marathon.

You could help make a difference by being a pace runner in the Canberra Marathon! More details here.

The Internet is littered with generic training programs, some of which I have written myself. If you are passionate about achieving your 2007 goals you may wish to go one step further and enlist me as your personal online running coach. Knowing you have someone you can communicate with during your campaign regarding goals which are set in your personalised program, along with any other issues relating to running, can make a huge difference.

While putting this Newsletter together I received an email which had a few entertaining/appropriate cartoons attached. Here they are.

    Cheers
