  • Pat,

How old do you imagine the oldest person to run a Marathon would be? Maybe 85/86, ok maybe 90. Try 100!

I asked a few runners this morning what they imagine an 80 year old could run for a Marathon. 4.30/4.15 was mentioned but nobody suggested a time below 4hrs. Try 3.15!

PCRG (LIFE) Member Matt Phillips has been absent from PCRG for some time due to his town planning studies. We'll see Matt in the near future due to the fact he's entered the home straight re gaining his degree.

Matt has a small request (below wording from Matt):

Another survey, you ask!!?? Let me give you three reasons to give up three minutes of your time to click the below link and complete this anonymous survey:

    1. Your contribution will help inform research on how planning could shape Brisbane's residential dwellings and neighbourhoods for decades to come.
    2. I will donate $2 to 2011 PCRG charity, the Kim Walters Choices program for every PCRG member who does the survey up to a maximum of $200.
    3. You will have my undying gratitude!!!

Please click this link to commence the survey and at its conclusion, please click 'next' and 'done'.

(This is the part which is to be read/spoken at high speed): Participation in this ethically approved research is completely voluntary and participants can withdraw from the research at any time without prejudice or negative consequences. There are no risks to the participants partaking in this research.

Walk for Awareness Sat Nov 5. An event designed to shed light on the serious issue of Mental Health and Depression within our community. Our focus is depression and the challenges it has on those who struggle with this condition. Bringing friends and community together to show support and help raise awareness, and assist the organizations who do an amazing job working in this field.

I'm sure to catch you @ PCRG in the am and/or Friday because it's high time you started focussing on the 80 and 100 year age records. Make every day a winner!

    Cheers

    Pat

Hilly Socks - second to none!

I met Ron Hill pre 1986 London Marathon - Ron is a true legend! This meeting encouraged me to try "Hilly Socks" some 25 years later. I'm particularly impressed with the Mono Skins and can honestly say they're the best fitting sock I've ever worn.

Hilly Socks are professionally made with comfort second to none!
