  • Pat,

Our Gold Coast 2011 Fundraising Campaign was a huge success, raising over $22,000. The Australian Lung Foundation current tally being $15,262 and the Kim Walters Choices Program rocking in at the $7,500 mark. PCRG has now raised $151,850.00 for various charities. There'll be a cheque presentation to both charities at the conclusion of next Tuesdays PCRG session.

A huge thank you is extended to everyone who contributed to the above mentioned funds. It's still possible to make a last minute contribution. The PCRG Australian Lung Foundation fundraising page can be found here.

Donations to the Kim Walters Choices Program can be made here. If you do make a transfer, please advise yours truly via email so that your donation can be added to our current tally.

Prescription glasses found in PCRG tent at the Coast: I know this is a tad overdue but I have a pair of prescription glasses which were left behind at the Coast. Glasses can be collected @ PCRG.

Ok, it's cold and Ok you're lacking motivation given your main running goal for the year has been and gone. Well it's time to move forward and there're numerous events you can shoot for:

There's also "Fast Track". Fast Track is a unique new running series designed to suit the busy corporate lifestyle. It's a fun run team challenge held once a fortnight over 7 weeks. Teams of 5 runners and/or walkers (individuals and teams of between 2 and 4 can also enter but do not qualify for prizes) can choose to participate in a 4km walk/run or 6km run, starting any time between 7:30am and 4:30pm.

Tomorrow mornings session will take place in the Gardens and everyone who fronted this am was more than pleased they made the initial effort.

Hilly Socks - second to none!

I met Ron Hill pre 1986 London Marathon - Ron is a true legend! This meeting encouraged me to try "Hilly Socks" some 25 years later. I'm particularly impressed with the Mono Skins and can honestly say they're the best fitting sock I've ever worn.

Hilly Socks are professionally made with comfort second to none!
