PCRG )

Pat,

PCRG WILL be up and running as of next Tuesday!

Ok, I have 2 separate venues which require PCRG's help tomorrow (Sat 22nd).

1. From 7.am: Tegwen Howell's house @ 53 Sutton Street, Chelmer. To get there, you need to take Chelmer St West, all the way to the end, across Laurel Avenue and down the hill. Turn right into Sutton St and Tegwens house is about 50m along on the left hand side. Wear sunscreen, hat/insect repellent/gumboots or the like.

This is far from a glamour job and is all about clearing mud away from the house. You could end up being close to knee deep in it however this needs to be attended to ASAP because there is fear of damage to the house slab if the mud remains much longer.

I'm suggesting that a small crew attend Tegwens and that we work there for 2-3 hrs and if you're up for it, we could then join PCRG members helping @ Peta's complex.

You'll need a shovel/gloves, and a wheelbarrow or 2 won't go astray. Tegwen is a lovely lady and often runs as a pace runner in the Gold Coast Half Marathon.

I'll be attending Tegwens house and will make my way to West End after we're done there. It would be great if say 5 or so fellow mud lovers could join me @ Tegwens.

2. From 8.am: Peta See's (PCRG member) apartment complex @ Flow apartments, 37 Duncan Street, West End. This is where I'm suggesting the majority of PCRG members attend.

There will be an issue with parking in the street as the residents cars are currently parked there - so anyone who comes to help might have to park up the road a bit.

Helpers will need gumboots (or similar) gloves and if you have a gurney - they have power. You'll either be cleaning out underground garages or cleaning walls etc. Those not wanting to get dirty may like to provide food or water/drinks, Peta is going to buy some bread & sausages for a sausage sizzle.

Peta is more than deserving of our help!

If we finish up early @ Peta's there's a possibility we could make our way to Suzy's complex which is only a few streets away.

Please advise via reply email if you'll be attending 1 or 2.

You can chat about the clean up on PCRG's facebook page.

Ride with Lance Armstorng & Robbie McEwen next Monday in BrisVegas all funds raised going to flood relief.

Yours in mud

Pat
