The tights have been given the flick and shorts it will be from here on in! We endured one of our coldest winters on record and we've come out the other side. Spring is about to be SPRUNG!

PCRG Laser Spectacular - Friday week: Payment is due by tomorrow Thursday Sep 1. Payment details here and please ensure you deposit funds into account noted. There're 80 confirmed guests and we still have room for more. Possibly you have a friend or two who may wish to attend and in turn keep you company. Here's an event that will keep you focussed. The Kurrawa to Duranbah. It's a 2 x 25k relay event on the Coast, Sunday December 11.

• FYI 1): The World Athletics Championships can be viewed nightly on SBS Two as well as online at www.wcsn.com.au
• FYI 2): Australia's Pat Farmer is running from the North Pole to the South Pole. Pat started in March of this year and has run close on 80k every day since. Pat's currently in Mexico and you can catch up with Pat's incredible journey here.

The Coronation Drive bike path is now fully operational and it's come up a treat. Brisbane City Council should be applauded for providing a path which can be safely utilized by both walkers/runners and cyclists. Having said this you should always have your wits about you when running near cyclist. Let's keep cyclist upright!

The core of tomorrow and Friday's session will take place at Suncorp Stadium. Be bike aware on Coronation Drive bike path especially when crossing over the bike path to enter Coronation Drive tunnel.
