Pat, Well I managed 50k but it did take a while. All was sweet until I arrived back at The Ship Inn (35k). It must have been my body's natural response to stop (PCRG's home base) and from there it was a mission and a half. X number of laps of the gardens found me @ 46.5k (well spent) and after hydrating I walked 3.5k back to The Ship Inn. Lesson being that 90min long runs are a tad short when it comes to preparing for a 50k. Mission accomplished given all I wanted to do was cover 50k on my 50th!
My daughter and son supported me throughout and each 10k was greeted with a display of photos taken during respective decade.
PCRG Laser Spectacular Friday Sep 9: To date I have 60 starters and I know for a fact there're more people who'll be coming but yet to confirm. It would make life much easier all round if you could please advise via reply email if you'll be attending. Everyone who attended Tuesday's session (60 members) were more than pleased they made the effort. The only time it rained was whilst everyone was running tough over the hills so this was more than welcomed. The weather is predicted to clear overnight and you know that you can't afford to skip 2 PCRG sessions this week. Catch you in the am and/or on Friday - session will take place in the Gardens.
