Pat, I haven't made a huge song and dance about the Sunday Mail/Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane. The Gold Coast Airport Marathon is PCRG's number 1 focus for the year and I prefer to not place members under too much pressure for some time after. The Sunday Mail/Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane is undoubtedly Queensland largest mass participation sporting event and if you haven't entered you can still do so in person @ 1/120 Fison Ave West, Eagle Farm until 12 noon tomorrow. I managed to locate a newspaper article about the inaugural 1997 Bridge to Brisbane - well it was Bridge to Bay for the first 3 years - still the same event though. 5000 runners took part in 97 and I was first across the line wearing "spectacular" kit. 45,000 runners took part last year and surely 50,000 will be surpassed on Sunday. To top this off $35,400 was raised for the Endeavour Foundation in 97 and since then the Sunday Mail/Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane has raised $3.14 million for charities. 50,000 members of the community benefiting from a better quality of life through training for B2B and also raising money for charity - priceless! Hopefully catch you Sunday and if you don't see me - you'll hear me! Cheers Pat
