Pat,
Yes - it's "the annual email" inviting my subscribers to donate to a worthy cause. Can I just say from the onset that I'm aware you get bombarded with similar email requests on a regular basis. It is my hope that you have left some room in your EOFY budget to allow for a $10 donation to help make a massive difference (a tad more would be fab).
Possibly you're a past or present PCRG member OR a past or present online client. You may have been entertained by my vocals at an event you attended. I totally enjoy making a difference in the Australian distance running community via the many roles I have embraced. I also have a desire to make a difference by helping worthy causes. I'll be running in the Gold Coast Half Marathon (July 5) and I'm inviting you to sponsor my run. I'm a member of the PCRG Fundraising Team and we're raising funds for Bowel Cancer Australia. PCRG's goal is to raise $20,000 to improve the health and wellbeing of people living with bowel cancer (currently sitting @ 14k). You'll find my name on the following page - no pressure but $10 (tax deductible) would be great! https://gcam2015.everydayhero.com/au/pat-carroll BTW: June is Bowel Cancer Awareness month and if you're over 40 I suggest you shoot off to the you know who for a bit of a look see. I speak first hand by saying it's an experience. Not so much the procedure but the 24hrs prior. I know this is a delicate topic, but it's life folks and it's real. If you knock these polyps on the head early on you'll go a long way towards avoiding such a shocking disease.
But wait there's more: Deposit a few dollars and feel free to call me during work hrs if you simply wish to bounce a few things off me that are running related/no strings attached. 0403 176672
Cheers Pat |
