2007 Sydney Marathon

Just back
from Sydney and wanted to say thanks for the encouragement
crossing the line at the Opera House.
The PCRG
spirit was alive with Jason & Cassie on the course, and Tess
cheering the house down at the 41km mark.
Then to be
given a rousing reception at the finish by the "Redhead
Has-Been" topped off a memorable day. (I suppose that since I
was one of those that cheered you home to victory on the Gold
Coast in 1997, it is only fair that you should return the favour
by cheering me home to 199th place in Sydney a decade later).
My reason
for joining the group 18 months ago was to try to regain some
motivation for my running, but I have ended up getting so much
more. The encouragement from within the group is fantastic and
you can feel that there is a real sense of pride at being a PCRG
Member. At the same time I feel fitter, I've knocked over 10min
off my marathon time & I know I can improve further. I also
can't recall the last time I resented getting out of bed to
attend a PCRG session.
Thanks Pat
- I think you're onto something !
