May 3k Time Trial
results/photos
We had a
record attendance at our May 3k Time Trial. The new 3k course
proved to be a winner for the 75 runners who attended. A number
of runners commented that the out and back course was easier to attack
psychologically than the previous 1k stretch. The results below
tell the true story, there were pb’s galore.

I don’t
mind admitting that the only time I outwardly expressed my
emotion (in running) was when I finished my first Marathon and
in doing so broke the 3hr barrier (2hrs 48min Gold Coast 1982).
Yes, who would have thought that such a cold calm collective
individual such as me could produce tears of joy.
Glenda
Banaghan has had a bash at dipping under 3 a few times and has
come tantalizingly close, yet no cigar. Not only did Glenda run a
personal best at this months Time Trial but she also has the
dedication/commitment and physiology to break 3hrs. Nothing is
going to stand in Glenda’s way this time round so be prepared to
see a bit more than a ‘few’ tears of joy from Glenda on July 2.
It
therefore gives me much pleasure in announcing that the
recipient for the ‘PCRG Group Member of the Month’ award
for May
is Glenda Banaghan.

Glenda
receives a $100 MIZUNO voucher to be used @
INTRAINING. Please don’t hesitate to visit
INTRAINING @ Park Rd Milton for all your running needs.
