_________________________________
I ran my first Marathon on the Gold Coast in 1982 and 24
years later I still have vivid memories of the experience. To be
honest I struggle slightly to bring up pictures in my mind from
many of the other 20+ Marathons I ended up competing in. Your
debut Marathon is special!
That is why I feel for any group members who don’t reach the start line as a result of injury. Liz Holbery was in all
sorts of trouble with an injury not so long ago and Gold Coast
was starting to look a bit shaky. Thankfully Liz recovered and
her massive pb at this months Time Trial vindicated Liz is on
track to complete her debut Marathon.
Steve Farne Sang joined PCRG in February and busted his gut
to run 14.50, reducing this to 12.15 in this months 3k. Not only
is Steve a huge improver but he also knows how to celebrate a pb
in style.
Check this out.
It
therefore gives me much pleasure in announcing that the joint
recipients for the ‘PCRG Group Member of the Month’ award
for June are Liz Holbery and Steve Farne Sang.

Congratulations Liz

Congratulations Steve
Liz and
Steve each receive a $50 MIZUNO voucher to be used @
