Good on
you Claire!
Life is indeed very good!!
Pat when you sent that email
yesterday reminding us all about the TT I groaned and got
nervous...then promptly put it out of my mind.
This morning I was all fired up
and wanted to run really hard, though after the warm up I felt
like crap and dropped my expected ETA from 12:15 to 12:30.

Then you went and decided to
give us an inspiring insight into your own experiences and I
took it all onboard thinking it sounded like elitist crap but
thought I'd give it a go anyhow.

With such a large group I
followed your advice and went out in a relaxed but steady
manner. This meant following people I would normally be in
front of for the first 500m. I was then able to put some more
effort whilst still being somewhat relaxed for the second km
and I found myself making ground which was very suprising and
exhilirating.
The final km I cannot say there
was any relaxment about it whatsoever. I hurt and my legs were
tiring. The most amazing thing happened though, when I turned
around to do the last km I passed a lot of people who were
running the end of their 2nd km. They all took the breath to
say 'Go Clairie' and it was most inspiring. It is certainly a
great group of people we run with isn't it??
To then get cheered in for the
final 50m and have Jodi running alongside spurring me on was
just what I needed to get over the line and get a
most-appreciated PB.

I got what I wanted for
Christmas :)
Thanks Pat

PS. Who would have thought that
after more than 14 months in your group I would still be
getting PBs and seeing improvements. What would I do without
the PCRG?
