Just a
little positive feedback from someone who is always at the back
of the pack.! I couldn’t agree more with the comments in your
latest email about PCRG being free of elitism etc. When I first
started coming along I felt rather intimidated by the standard
of runners and asked myself “what am I doing here with this
lot?” It wasn’t until I was coming regularly and listening to
your talks to the group about PCRG being a group there to give
support to each other and not based on who is the best/fastest
etc that I started to feel more comfortable.
By far the
best part of it for me is the fantastic support I get. Also
when I’m out doing a long run of a Saturday there are always
runners I recognise from PCRG who call out hello as they go by.
My journey
now as I get older is about fitness and enjoying my running. I
will always try hard but if a great time doesn’t come out of it,
I know I’ve tried my best.
So when I
come in to the finish for the half marathon (only my second) at
the Gold Coast, I’m sure I’ll get great support from all the
great people in PCRG who will have finished ages ahead of me.
Keep up
the good work Pat, you’re on a winner.
Chris
