JUNE 20 3K TIME TRIAL
Not only did Tuesdays Time Trial
fall on the shortest day of the year but it also brought a close
to our ‘full on’ training sessions. From here on in your mission
is to arrive at the start line on July 3 feeling healthy, injury
free and ready to let rip. You have prepared well and your day
will soon be here.

It was not an easy call to make,
deciding the Athlete of the Month due to the fact
everyone is truly applying themselves at this crucial time of
the year. I therefore have great pleasure in naming not only two
but three joint winners of the Athlete of the Month
award.
Dale Cliff: Dale ran a
personal best in the Time Trial after being a regular group
member for close on two years. Dale also recently qualified for
the prestigious Hawaii Ironman.
Rick Curtis: Rick has been
one of the most consistent attendees at the 15 week to Gold
Coast sessions. Rick may not have run a personal best in the
Time Trial but I notice that he always puts in, which in my
books is all that really counts. Rick is about to tackle
'The Marathon' for the second time and I admire the way he has
applied himself this time round.
Kate: Kate came to the
group with a personal best of 15.11 and on Tuesday ran 14.40.
Kate is indicative of the quiet achievers within the group but
be prepared to hang onto your hats when Kate screams the house
down when she completes her second Half Marathon on July 3.
Great to have you as a member of the group Kate.
Dale receives a Ship Inn $50
dinner voucher. Rick and Kate can toss a coin between a Ship Inn
$50 dinner voucher and a $40 voucher from Run on Down.
