August
3k Time Trial
A few
people commented leading up to the Gold Coast Marathon that it will
be interesting to see what the group numbers are like post race.
To find the group is as strong as ever is fantastic and a
true indication we are on a constant roll, the group environment
is thriving.
It was
also
great to see everyone welcoming each other across the line this
morning. Success breeds Success!
I am not a
great judge when it comes to dress sizes but I was positive that
Phil Klein would struggle fitting into the infamous ‘SIZE 12’
melon dress. Much to my surprise he looked a real treat and
there is every possibility Phil may be wearing it again for his
feminine side came to the fore and inspired him to run just one
second outside his personal best. And they say that Girls
just wanna have fun!
We had 45
runners at the August Time Trial and the following runners
recorded personal best times:

There were
a number of fantastic performances at this months 3K Time Trial
however I am awarding the Athlete of the Month to a
member who has been attending the group sessions for close on
two years.
To come
out and run a personal best after venturing down to West End a
copious amount of times previously is a great achievement.
He’s not the best person to ask what reps we are doing at
training but he is the Pat Carroll running group athlete of the
month.
''Common
down... Mark Kenney''. Congratulations Mark!

Mark reciting to Jo his
favorite group sessions, after a few drinks. Well.....attempting
to that is.
''Now I'm not sure if it was 4min, 2min then 4min OR maybe it
was........''
Mark
receives a $40 voucher from Pat Carroll Running Group sponsor
‘Run on Down’.
