I
mentioned at our recent campaign launch that I believe I am
personally developing in my role as PCRG’s
mentor/motivator/group co-ordinator. The positive vibe within
the group is also forever growing and it was great to see 65
runners at our April 3k Time Trial.

Going back
a few months there was a group member who was often seen after a
session taking a lonely walk across the Goodwill Bridge on his
way to work. When your running performances are not up to the
level you would expect them to be you are often found searching
for an explanation and hoping desperately for a quick fix.
David Lang
is the group member who I am referring to. Thankfully, David can
now take that stroll across the Goodwill Bridge with a bit more
bounce and a great deal more confidence for David was only 16sec
shy of his pb at this months 3k Time Trial.
You may
have also noticed that not only is David swift on his feet but
he is often the first to lend encouragement to fellow group
members. Good on you Dave!
It
therefore gives me much pleasure in announcing that the
recipient for the ‘PCRG
Group Member of the Month’ award for April is David Lang.
